 It is both a pleasure and an honour to congratulate the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, on behalf of Berger Paints Jamaica Limited, as it observes its 4oth anniversary.
There can be few institutions more favourable placed to influence and advance the progress of education in Jamaica than the Jamaica Teachers’ association. This is especially so today, when the value of education is now more fully recongnised as being the most important tool for the country’s economic and social development.
The JTA does not only serve the interest of teachers and the teaching profession, but it also embraces service to the nation as a whole, and this is what makes it special. Throughout its four decades, the JTA has encouraged its members to participate actively in nation development and it is certain that many national activities such as the manual festival competitions could not exist without the involvement of the nation’s teachers.
For the past eleven years Berger Paints Jamaica has been privileged tom be associated with the Jamaica Teachers Association, as sponsor of their annual Roll off Honour awards. This award recognises each year a teacher who embodies the value of the profession, as both an exemplary educator as a person committed to services to the wider community.
Berger Paint Jamaica Limited says to the Jamaica teacher’s Association “well done, and may you continue to serve our country in the future as well as you have done in the past”
