Message - President, National Education Association, Reg Weaver
 Dear Wentworth and the Members of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association:
On behalf of the 2.7 million members of the National Education association, we send hearty greetings to our education colleagues within the Jamaica Teacher’s Association. We congratulate you on celebrating the 40th year of the Jamaica teachers’ Association-forty years of representing the interests of teachers and the profession, which is forty years of shaping your nation. These four decades of strength and experience have served Jamaican citizen well and are a model for colleagues within the Caribbean Union of teachers and Education International.
In commemorating history, we pause to look back, acknowledge our victories, and squarely face challenges still ahead. The National Education association celebrates the Jamaica Teachers’ Association and looks forward to strengthening the bond between our two organization in the years ahead.
